HAWAIIAN SESAME SURF
AND TURF STIRFRY
ingredients | Serves 4
8 oz beef, thinly sliced
12 oz large prawns, peeled
2 bottles Humble & Frank HAWAIIAN SESAME SOY SAUCE AND MARINADE
10 cups chopped vegetables such as onions, red peppers, broccoli, mushrooms, bok choy
4 cups cooked white rice, hot
Vegetable oil for frying
Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for serving (optional)
Heat about 1 Tbsp of oil in a large wok or sauté pan over high heat. Season the beef with salt and pepper. Add the beef and prawns to the pan and stirfry until just cooked through, about 3 minutes. With a slotted spoon, transfer to a large bowl.
Add another tablespoon to the pan. Stir fry the vegetables in 2 or 3 batches until cooked but crisp, about 5 minutes. Add to the bowl of beef and prawns when they are done.
Once all the vegetables are cooked, add the two bottles of HAWAIIAN SESAME SOY SAUCE and 1/3 cup of water to the pan. Bring to a simmer and return vegetables and meat to the pan. Stir well until all ingredients are hot and coated with sauce.
Plate the rice on a large platter and top with stir fried meat, prawns, vegetables and sauce. Serve immediately with green onions and sesame seeds if using.
